The most common reports, the patient lose his life because not able to reach #hospital on time due to #Traffic on roads. But this is one of the heart warming story recently happen at #Chennai. On Monday evening, life in heart of Chennai came to halt during evening heavy traffic peak hours as Chennai made #Green #Corridor a RED Light free access for another life to be alive.
One girl patient was admitted #Fortis Malar Hospital in #Adyar, Chennai was suffer from Heart Problem and they found matching donor at Govt Hospital Chennai 12km away. A medical team had transported a Heart in just 14min by the help of Chennai Traffic Police and Chennai People. Normally it took 45min. As the ambulance with escorted police van left at 6.44PM and reach 6.57PM with touching speed of almost 100kph at all cross roads.
A human heart can be preserved for up to 4 hours, but the chances of the recipient's survival are higher if transplant takes place early in time.
So next time when you listen any siren of ambulance we can't make #Green #Corridor like Chennai but at least give a way to Ambulance to pass and help patient to survive.
team #luks.in always greatfull to such human.
